"Improtex" company begun its activity in 1991 as the first private tour operator on reception and service of tourist groups in sovereign Azerbaijan. In due course, alongside with reception of foreign visitors, the important component of firm activity was a sending of tourist groups and individual tourists from Azerbaijan abroad. The big attention was given to the organization of the international charter aviatransportations. The charter flights to Turkey, India, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, Belgium, Romania, France, Italy, Thailand, China, and also to the CIS countries were carried out. In 1995 «Improtex» was the first and the only private travel agency represented Azerbaijan on one of the largest international tourist exhibitions in Berlin (ITB). There were established business relations with Lufthansa airlines. As a result of cooperation with it Improtex Travel Lufthansa City Center was opened in Baku in 1996. So from a small travel company «Improtex Travel, Tours and Conferences» (the full name of the company) turned into large international tour operator. Its partners are the best travel agencies of the world, the known chain of hotels leading airlines. Today «Improtex Travel» is a component part of the diversified holding company «Improtex Group». It works successfully and is one of leaders of private tourist business in Azerbaijan. The company gained authority and trust of the population of the country and the foreign partners. Our credo is a modern service, national traditions, the international cooperation. In 2002 and 2003 «Improtex Travel» was awarded with the independent national premium «HUMAY» for merits in development of tourism, and in 2004 the company was awarded the National premium in the field of economy and business UGUR in a nomination "The company of the year. Tourism". "Improtex Travel" annually takes part in known international tourist exhibitions and fairs. It is WTM in London, ITB in Berlin, WTF in Tokyo, MITT in Moscow, AİTF in Baku and others. In 2002 there was concede a right to the company to serve delegation of the Pope Ioann Paul II during his stay in Baku, and in 2004 "Improtex Travel" was chosen as the official accredited agent on service of Azerbaijan delegation on XXVIII Summer Olympic Games in Athens.
The company is the accredited agent of the International Association of Air Transport /IATA/, Transport Clearing Chamber of Russia /TCC/, a member of the American Association of Travel agencies /ASTA/, the Japanese Association of Travel agencies /JATA/, the International group of tour operators on the Silk way /SRGroup/. The company has branches in a Ganja, Gakh districts, a chain of agents in the Republic areas.
